To God the dead are still alive To God, the dead are still alive. And the works of people are visible in heaven, long after the memory of their lives on earth have disappeared. Those are a couple things the Bible teaches about life after death. Surprisingly, you can't always tell by looking at a life on earth what God will think of it. Sometimes what people do seems unimpressive, but it has lasting value. Other times what people do may seem great, but it doesn't stand the test of time. Verses to study:
Bible verse to memorize Luke 20:37-38 (NRSV) [Jesus said,] “The fact that the dead are raised Moses himself showed, in the story about the bush, where he speaks of the Lord as the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Now he is God not of the dead, but of the living; for to him all of them are alive.” Reflection questions: How does it change how you live, knowing that there is life after death? How does it change how you live, knowing that what you have done with your time on earth will be exposed at the end, that some things will survive and others will be burnt up?
