God's promises can be trusted

God's promises give us hope for the present and the future. They can be trusted, even though we may have to wait for their fulfillment.

Acts 23:11 (NRSV)
That night the Lord stood near [Paul] and said, “Keep up your courage! For just as you have testified for me in Jerusalem, so you must bear witness also in Rome.”
