Be open to God's creative direction

There's lots of helpful ideas in this video. Let's start with two.

1) Jesus said if a person wouldn't listen to Moses and the prophets, the person wouldn't care if someone (like Jesus) came back from the dead. In other words, if you don't know the gap between how you're living and what God expects of you, you'll not recognize your need for God's help. Being open to God's creative direction starts with being open to the pain of seeing how great the possibilities are for your life and how far you're falling short.

2) Paul writes something astounding about Jesus.  He says Jesus "is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created. . .  and in him all things hold together."

If it seems like your life is falling apart, you can trust God with the pieces. Jesus is there to make sure good comes of your life. In him all things hold together.

God, thank you that we can trust you with our lives. Help us stay open to your creative direction. We praise you. Amen.
