Accept people like Jesus did
Jesus was known for accepting people, even if he didn't condone their behavior, even if others rejected them. We can follow his lead.
When Jesus accepted people, he didn't accept everything they did. He told one woman, "I do not condemn you. Go and sin no more." He challenged the Bible scholars of his day to have lives that matched their teaching and that weren't just for show. He told one seeker that his wealth was keeping him from the fullness of God's kingdom. Jesus felt free to talk to people directly about things that separated them from God's love.
But Jesus shocked the leaders of his day by his radical acceptance of tax collectors, prostitutes, the sick, and other outcasts. Jesus accepted all people, especially the people who most needed his help. It's good to follow his lead.
